Four stages for body tonifying

Stage 1（Week 1 for natural delivery，Day 5-7）

Formula #1 Sheng Hua Tang （natural delivery Day 5-7）

Dang Gui Tou, Chuan Xiong, Xiang Fu, Yi Mu Cao, Gan Cao(Zhi), Tao Ren, Hong Hua, Yuan Hu, Pao Jiang, Shan Zha

Stage 2（Week 2，Day 8-14）

Formula #2 Tonify stomach and spleen（Day 8-14）

Dang Shen, Fu Ling, Yi Yi Ren, Sha Ren, Bai Bian Dou (fried), Bai Zhu(fried), Shan Yao(fried), Lian Zi, Qian Shi, Hong Zao (It can be cooked with fish)

Stage 3 (Week 3, Dai 15-30）

Formula #3 Tonifying blood soup （Day 15-17）

Dang Gui Tou Pian, Shu Di, Sang Shen Zi, Dang Shen, Bai Zhu, Gou Qi Zi, Chuan Xiong, Huang Qi, Hong Zao (It can be cooked with chicken or black bone chicken. Extra Red Ginseng can be added if it is needed.)

Formula #4 Kidney enhancing （Day 18-24）

Dang Gui Tou Pian, Yu Zhu, Xu Duan, Bai shao, Du Zhong, Gou Qi Zi, Chuan Xiong, Chen Pi（It can be cooked with chicken or black bone chicken.）

Formula #5 Tonify Original Qi（Day 25-30）

Ba Ji Tian, Dang Shen, Huang Qi, Xu Duan, Bai Shao, Shan Yao, Shan Ren, Du Zhong(It can be cooked with chicken or black bone chicken. Extra Deer Velvet can be added if it is needed.)

Stage 4（Week 5，Day 31-32）

Formula #6 Postpartum Tonic Soup（Day 31-32）

Red Ginseng, Dang Shen, Bei Qi, Lu Rong, Hong Zao, Huai Shan, Gou Qi, Yuan Rou, Chong Cao Hua, Dang Gui Tou, Shu Di, Chen Pi

Decoction Method:

1. Put the herbs into a pot (stainless steel pot, marmite or ceramic pot) 
2. Add some cold water (over the herbs about 4cm) and sink the herbs in the water for 30 minutes.
3. After boiled with moderate heat, turn the heat to become small for 45-minutes boiling. Pay attention to the soup during cooking to make sure that the liquid won’t be dried out.
4. After cooking, pour out the decoction and divide it into two equal parts, drink it half an hour after breakfast and dinner.

Note:

• The decoction should be taken when it is warm. Reheat it before drinking when it is necessary.
