IMPORTANT NOTICE – BEWARE OF CYBER SCAMS
Beijing Tong Ren Tang Australia Pty Ltd has recently received several reports and inquiries from the public regarding unauthorized individuals impersonating our company, clinics, and registered practitioners on social media and messaging platforms to conduct fraudulent activities.
To protect your financial and health safety, we hereby issue this formal statement and updated anti-scam guide:
1. Common Scam Tactics to Watch Out For
Based on our investigations, the fraudulent syndicate is operating through the following methods:
- Impersonating Practitioners & False Advertising: The scammers are running fake business pages on Facebook Marketplace/Messenger under names like "Pure Vital Living AU" or "Better Men AU". They run deceptive advertisements targeting male health and falsely pose as "Dr. Tina" or our registered practitioner, Jun Deng.
- Stealing Official Credentials: To build trust, they send victims digital copies of our corporate ABN (71 109 163 395), our clinic name (Sydney Chinese Medicine Centre), as well as our actual practitioner's real AHPRA Registration Certificate and University of Sydney Graduation Certificate.
- Directing Payments via WhatsApp & Private Accounts: The scammers prompt victims to chat on WhatsApp. They attempt to pressure them into making fast bank transfers—sometimes offering fake incentives like a "$100 AUD company gift"—and send fake invoices directing payments to private bank accounts.
- Selling Unauthorized Products: They are illegally selling unregulated herbal products under our brand name, such as the "Tong Ren Tang - Dali Pill," which is not authorized or registered in Australia.
2. Our Official Channels and Professional Standards
We strictly reiterate that:
- Our Only Official Online Channels Are:
- Official Websites: [www.btrt.com](https://www.btrt.com).au and scmc.net.au
- Official WeChat Account & WeChat Moments
- Halaxy Official Booking Platform
- Our Professional Standard: Neither Beijing Tong Ren Tang Australia nor our registered practitioners (including Practitioner Jun Deng) will ever conduct clinical consultations, sell medications, issue invoices, or request direct money transfers through Facebook, WhatsApp, or private bank accounts.
3. Public Safety & Protection Guidelines
To protect yourself, please adhere to the following:
- Verify the Channel: Any individual contacting you on Facebook or WhatsApp claiming to be our practitioner and asking for your medical history or demanding payment is entirely fraudulent.
- Refuse Private Transfers: Never transfer funds to personal bank accounts or make payments based on invoices sent via messaging apps.
- Protect Your Private Data: Do not share personal documents, home addresses, dates of birth, or sensitive medical histories with these accounts.
- Report Instantly: If you are approached by these scammers, block them immediately, report the profile on the platform, and contact our official clinic to verify the interaction.
We take this identity theft and public safety threat extremely seriously. We have formally submitted all compiled evidence and account details to the Australian National Anti-Scam Centre (Scamwatch) and the Australian Federal Police (ReportCyber) for active investigation. We reserve all rights to pursue legal action against any individuals misappropriating our brand and practitioners' identities.
Thank you for your ongoing support, vigilance, and trust.
